Medical Marijuana Laws in New Mexico

Bill Richardson ( former governor) of New Mexico authorized the Lynn and Erin Compassionate Use Act’s passage into law in 2007. This made the cultivation, processing, selling, buying, and using medicinal marijuana lawful.

Senate Bill 523 permits patients to grow up to six mature plants. It allows the purchase of up to 15 ounces of marijuana over 90 days (with a maximum of 12 plants per home). Remember that only residents of New Mexico with valid cards are permitted access to medicinal marijuana.
