The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announced that infused edibles such as gummies or chews would be legal under the state’s medical cannabis program. These medical cannabis gummies and chews differ from the recently authorized hemp-derived THC edibles.
Summerizing
In a news release, Minnesota Commissioner of Health Jan Malcolm said, “The state’s medical cannabis program always tries to fulfill the needs of marijuana patients. Gummies and chews may be good options for those experiencing difficulty swallowing tablets.” Furthermore, he said patients who don’t want to smoke, have lung problems, and don’t like the taste of other forms of marijuana can use the gummies of medical marijuana. It has the same effect as raw marijuana. Lastly, he said gummies marijuana provides benefits to more than 37,000 medical marijuana cardholders in Minnesota.
Guidelines!
According to the guidelines of Minnesota’s medical cannabis program, before switching from any form of marijuana to the gummies or chew form of marijuana, a consultation with a registered marijuana doctor is a must.
